The event which takes place at the Grand Geneva Resort on Saturday, September 26 beginning at 8PM. The IFC will continue to keep the grand MMA tradition of single day, single elimination tournaments alive as it has for the last 12 plus years by featuring two 4 man events in the IFC’s thirty foot steel cage. In keeping with another IFC tradition, the event will also have a women’s MMA fight to be announced shortly.In the IFC, the women fight under the same rules as the men. The IFC was the first organization ever to promote women’s MMA. There have been Women’s IFC Champions since 1997.
The Lake Geneva event will have tournaments in both the 230lb class (IFC Cruiserweight Division) and the 170lb class (Welterweights). The Cruiserweight battle will be a four state affair with Josh Barns of Muncie, Indiana, Tracy Willis of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Richard White of Oskaloosa, Iowa and local favorite Justin Newcomb of Eau Claire all meeting to decide the who wears the Warriors Challenge XXV Cruiserweight crown. The Welterweight event will see Craig Kaufman of Chicago, Kalel Robinson of Quincy, IL, Chad Vance of Charles city, IA and Jon Meyer of Dayton, Ohio battling it out. There will be ten great fights in all.
