MMA MAKING WAVES IN LAKE GENEVA
IFC CAGED COMBAT today announced that the Grand Geneva will be hosting a professional MMA cage fighting card on Saturday, September 26 beginning at 8 PM. The event will be number 25 in the long running IFC Warriors Challenge series. Many of the best world’s best MMA fighters have appeared inside the IFC steel cage during the history of these very special Warrior’s Challenge events. Chuck Liddell, Eugene Jackson, Vladimir Matuyshenko, Gan McGee, Paul Buentello, Jake Shields, Rich Franklin, David Terrell, Robbie Lawler, Nathan Marquardt, Frank Mir, Benji Radach, Brock Larson and many many more have fought in this IFC series .

States the event's promoter and former world rated kickboxer Daryl Lassiter, "This is the real deal. This isn't another local amateur fight card. The IFC Warriors Challenge series has produced the best fighters in the world and you can see them right here in action at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva."

The card will feature many veteran fighters as well as some of the area’s top up and coming cage talent. A four man welterweight tournament featuring four young guns including Chicago’s Craig Kaufman, Iowa’s Jamie Mether, Ohio’s Jon Meyer and the undefeated Kalel Robinson is already scheduled. This will be a single elimination event with the winner fighting twice in the same night.

There will also be Cruiserweight (230 lbs)tournament and in keeping with IFC tradition a women’s fight. All the fights will take place in the IFC’s 27 foot steel cage. The event will be sanctioned by MMA’s oldest sanctioning body – the International Fighting Council.
