The IFC's 30 foot steel cage is coming to Oneida Casino on Friday January 8 for a night of professional MMA fight action. Headlining the event is an IFC World Heavyweight Championship bout between current champion Travis Wiuff of Rochester, Minnesota and Ohio’s Tony Sylvester. The event will also feature a four man single elimination no holds barred welterweight championship tournament pitting veterans Bill Hill and Trevor Garrett battling with undefeated rising stars Justin Edwards and Dan Stittgen. In this tournament format there are two three round elimination bouts with the two winners fighting each other that night to determine the champion.
In still another featured bout James Warfield will be meeting Don O’Grady in the 155 lb division. Also joining the card is former Green Bay Packer Herbert “Whisper” Goodman who will meeting Ohio’s Steve Gotterman in a 3 round middleweight (185 lb)affair. In more heavyweight action the up and coming and undefeated Justin Newcomb out of Eau Claire, Wisconsin will face off with Indiana’s Josh Barnes. Also Mitch Filer of Detroit will meet Milwaukee’s Jose Pachenco also in the 155 lb lightweight division.
