IFC WARRIORS CHALLENGE XXVI SET FOR NOVEMBER 20 AT GOLD COUNTRY

GOLD COUNTRY CASINO, OROVILLE,CA – The popular IFC WARRIORS CHALLENGE MMA series is returning to Gold Country Casino with it twenty sixth edition on Friday, November 20 beginning at 7:30 PM. 
In keeping with IFC tradition, the event will feature a four man single elimination heavyweight tournament. According to the IFC’s PaulSmith this will feature four of the regions top young heavyweights banging it out for the spotlight. "The tradition of single day tournaments is still very much alive in the IFC," says Smith. "The fighters like them and the fans love the tournaments. This particular one has some big boys that are going make the whole casino rock".  
In fact Gold Country fans love the tournaments so much that this series has sold out on its last three stops at Gold Country. This event will also feature a women’s fight.  
Manyof the MMA’s great fighters that have appeared in past IFC shows at Gold Country include Frank Mir, Robbie Lawler, Cal Worsham, Paul Buentello, Scott Smith, Steve Heath, Ivan Salaverry, Denis Kang, Martin Armendarez, Nick Diaz, and Benji Radach. Former and current IFC Champions include Chuck Liddell, Eugene Jackson, Rich Franklin, Tim Silva, Jens Pulver, Dan Severn, Igor Vovchachin, Matt Lindland, Paul Buentello, Jeremy Horn and many other top fighters in MMA. IFC fighters come from many backgrounds; they are respected as some of the best athletes in the world. Most use a combination of boxing, wrestling, open hand combat and martial arts fighting techniques in the cage. Bouts can be won by knockout, submission or by the scorecard. There are three five-minute rounds in a non-championship bout and five five-minute rounds in a championship bout. Known for their extreme, no holds barred fighting in the steel cage IFC fighters will do just about anything necessary to win.  
Fights start at 7:30 p.m. and it isn’t over until the last fight ends.
